Why should your goods be billed according to volume weight?

Volumetric weight: It is a type of weight that reflects the density of the goods, and the weight is calculated by the volume of the goods.

Volume weight calculation formula:

1. Volume weight = length (cm) * width (cm) * height (cm) / 6000 (volume / 6000) (International Express is generally divided by 5000)

2. volume weight = volume * 167 (express computing coefficient is usually 200)

For example, a cargo size length, width, and height are 60CM, with a volume of 0.216CBM.

According to the formula one: 60 * 60 * 60 / 6000 = 36KG

According to the formula two: 0.216 * 167 = 36.072KG

If the volume of a batch of goods is heavier than the actual weight, it is called light goods and bubble goods. If a batch of goods volume is heavier than the actual weight, it is called heavy goods.

The volume weight is the charge weight for the following reasons:

Someone will surely ask why we should compare the volume weight with the actual weight, and then take the larger value to calculate the freight. Why can’t we calculate the freight according to how much the actual weight of the goods is?

It involves the issue of loading space of the means of transport. We should know that whether it is an airplane, a ship, or a truck, its loading space is limited. Relatively speaking, there is a limit to the volume and weight requirements.

For example, in a 40HQ container, its cargo load is generally 22 tons, with a volume of 54 cubic meters. If transporting a container of gold (gold 19320KG / cube), there are still more than 50 square meters of space left in the load-bearing range. If transporting a container of cotton (not compressed cotton 7.5KG/cubic), there is still more than 21 tons of space left in the allotment load capacity by filling 54 squares.

Therefore, the ideal state is that heavy goods and light goods are reasonably matched with each other, just filling the space of a container and not exceeding the container’s load-bearing capacity. In this way, the profit of a cabinet can be maximized.

For example, a cabinet containing one ton of gold and 53 squares of cotton. According to the actual weight of the count fee weight, I believe a cabinet is loaded with gold or cotton, many people have the answer. But only load heavy goods without light goods is not possible, so for moderate density and small density of goods, it is charged by volume weight.
